"Your brain is like a muscle. Exercise it! When given the proper training, it gets stronger, regardless of age!" -Tony Dottino
Started in 1997 by Tony Dottino, the United States Memory Championship is a competition for anyone and everyone that wishes to challenge their brain. It was started to help people both understand their own memory capabilities and also train and exercise their brains. Now, individual competitors and high school teams compete for the title of National Memory Champion(s).
The United States Memory Championship begins with four preliminary rounds: Names and Faces, Speed Numbers, Poetry, and Speed Cards. The results from these four rounds decide who continues on to the final set of rounds, which work via process of elimination.
